Just starting at Paleo, found a great recipe from www.performancemenu.com/recipes

Peach and Pecan Scramble
1/2 Peach, diced
2 Tbsp chopped pecans
1tsp olive oil
2 eggs
1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
1/8 tsp cinnamon

Basically you saute the chopped peach and pecans in oil then add beaten egg/cinnamon/applesauce, cooking til egg mixture has set.

Tastes just like French Toast!!

I am a weekend cheater! I have been doing really well during the week although I am starting to get sick of eating the same things. What is everybody else eating for lunch? That one is the hardest for me since I have to pack and take to work.

The Superbowl pizza "tasted" good but made me "feel" yuck. Throughout the week, when I have my routine, I do really well. It's the weekend that leaves me in need of a Monday cleansing!
How's everybody else doing with their eating?

Major paleo set back this weekend on the Vegas trip. But it was easy to transition back to paleo and definitely no cheat days for me this week allowed.

Grocery shopping and meals are starting to come a bit easier now....I have a question- with no dairy, where am I getting my calcium? I don't want to start shrinking- my grandma was only 5'0 and when she passed (YEARS AGO) she was about 4'10- gotta protect our bones!

On the pickles...they have High Fructose Corn Syrup in them and sometimes other additives that are not necessary. So I have steered away from them.

Just like Jack Johnson- he makes Banana Pancakes!...........

The question came up today "Are pickles Paleo?" First of all, wanna know a secret? Coach Lucas used to work in a pickle factory, ask him about it!

Anyways- what I seem to be finding is that pickles most often show up on the "questionable" foods list. Foods on the questionable list often make their way into your paleo diet is small amounts unless you are GUNG-HO-HARD-CORE-NO-HOLDS-BARRED-Paleo.
Many paleo people say pickles are an easy snack. I did read though that because of the vinegar, they are a "no-no"
Regardless, pickles and cucumbers make for great snacks. As a substitute you might try raw pickling cucumbers and use them as travel snacks. They keep better, don’t smell, have no added salt, and they don’t need any prep to snack on.
